In addition to our superb firm order service, the Book House has developed an accurate, reliable system for maintaining your standing order requests for serials and monographs in continuation. Complete records of all of your standing orders are online in our system and are maintained by our Standing Order staff. Each record includes an up-to-date listing of all volumes billed against your order, as well as current status. Access to these online records by our Standing Order staff provides them with timely information at a single glance and allows them to respond knowledgably and accurately to your inquiries and claims. A full Standing Order Customer Report is mailed to you quarterly. This printout lists all of your open standing orders, indicates recent billings, and advises the status and projected due date of the next scheduled volume. In addition, you receive monthly, a Standing Order Interim Customer Report. Our Standing Order staff maintains a regular schedule of reporting to ensure that you are provided with current information in the most timely manner. We also give the utmost priority to your individual claims for specific titles, providing you with prompt, handwritten responses to your inquiries. EXAMPLE STANDING ORDER CORRESPONDENCE
It is extremely easy to establish a standing order with the Book House. Using your existing form or method of ordering, simply provide our Standing Order staff with a series title, a publisher name, and the year or number of the next volume required, and we will establish each of your standing orders as submitted. We can also accommodate your requests for alternate year shipments. A separate Standing Order Account is established. Your standing orders are then billed separately from regular monographs, with standing order invoices appearing on a separate statement. There is never a minimum number of titles required - the Book House will accept as many or as few titles as you need to place on standing order at any time. At the Book House, our overall attention to detail and our personal attention to your standing orders ensures thorough maintenance, timely reporting of current information, and accurate delivery. We invite you to submit a list of your standing order titles. We will review your requests and determine our ability to deliver the volumes required.
