and the Book House work together to provide the OCLC PromptCat® service, automated copy
cataloging that helps libraries increase productivity and get materials on the shelves
faster. PromptCat supplies MARC records from WorldCat® for the materials you purchase
from the Book House, with library holdings automatically set in WorldCat.
The PromptCat service offers many options that can be customized to
suit local library needs, including record selection, choosing when holdings are set, and
special options available for Dewey libraries and medical libraries. In addition,
PromptCat can create spine and pocket labels.
