The Book House has no minimum order requirements. We
will order each of your book requests from the information you provide on your order.
Naturally, the most complete information available - author, title, publisher, quantity,
edition, ISBN, year, estimated price - will allow our order department to direct your
request to the correct source without delay. Our publisher address file is updated
continually and new sources are added as your orders provide us with new information. Our
publisher master file is as current as any in the country, from tracking the merger of
large publishers to locating an obscure author or society.

The Book House can receive your rush orders via email,
fax, phone, FTP, our online order database, or from your ILS. We place rush orders as
they are received with the publishers using their inventory for the highest fulfillment possible.
We are able to customize our rush service to meet your requirements.
Please note we do not offer discounts on rush orders.
Super Service - Some of our customers require automatic Next day or 2nd day air
service for their rush accounts. We place these orders immediately and request the publisher
ship to the Book House via either next day or 2nd day air. If the order is not readily available
for shipment we let you know the status. Depending on the library's location from the Book House,
we then ship the materials out to ensure delivery from us within a 1 to 2 day time frame.
Please note we do charge customers for the actual UPS fee charged by the publisher and incurred
by the Book House. This charge appears on your invoice on a separate line. Drop shipments from
the publisher are available in certain situations; however, we can’t be responsible for the quality
of the shipment.
Regular Rush Service: Our standard rush delivery is 10-15 days depending on actual
publisher inventory. Rushes are billed daily and shipped ground UPS. There are no additional fees
for this service.
Customers can also provide a "need by date" on their rush orders
and our staff will place the orders to comply. This helps to eliminate unnecessary air fees.
The Book House has successfully worked with customers to tailor our services
to meet their needs. We can assign a customer service representative to handle all your rushes. We can bill
and ship each requester’s orders separately and put their name on the package so your receiving department
can route them expeditiously. We can set up a separate rush account so you can check the status of your
orders online and receive separate statements from your regular account. Just ask for what you need and
we will make every effort to comply.

An increasing number of independent suppliers of books and DVDs sell only on websites and require
payment by credit card, PayPal, or other payment utility. To reduce their internal costs
libraries are increasingly sending those orders to us, along with their usual firm and standing orders.
Providing these kinds of materials is our fastest growing product line! By placing your Web Orders
with the Book House, you can reduce the staff costs and time required to source, order, and track
materials. We use our credit cards to acquire these materials for you and relieve your staff of
the considerable burden of reconciling credit card statements. When you order from the Book House,
we reliably and accurately supply your orders on our normal Book House invoice, payable in net 30 days.
Web Orders are nonreturnable when shipped as ordered. Most are sold with a
service charge of $7.00 to $15.00 added to our cost.
We encourage the
library to include URL info with their orders.
We offer a variety of options to customize our
service to the library's particular needs. Special requirements including separate
billing, proforma invoices, arrangements for grant monies, extra invoice copies, and
pre-publication offers are accommodated by a toll-free telephone call or E-mail message to
our sales office. Our staff utilizes an automated system to set up each account's specific
instructions. Bids and quotations are available on individual orders and special projects.
